Using Skrill has never been easier, more secure, or more beneficial than it is right now. However, those new to Skrill are likely still trying to get their feet under them. If that’s you, you’re in the right spot!

Skrill Transfers & Transferring to Other Wallets 101

Let’s not waste any time – it’s time to talk about all things related to Skrill and other digital wallets. Whether you’re trying to get Skrill linked to Neteller, Payoneer, or something else – we’ve got you covered. Now let’s get going!

How Long Does Skrill Take to Transfer?

On average, Skrill takes between 2-5 business days to complete a transfer, though this depends on where you live and what form of payment you used. Some payment methods are near-instant and will clear within minutes, while others will take a bit longer. For a full breakdown of Skrill transfer times, read our “Skrill Basics: Deposits” article.

What is Skrill Rapid Transfer?

Skrill Rapid Transfer is one of the methods mentioned above that allows funds to, well, transfer rapidly!

It’s an instant online service that allows you to send and receive money in a matter of seconds when sending money via a verified bank account from one of well over 1,000 global banks. The difference between Skrill Rapid Transfer and a standard one-time bank transfer is as follows:

One-time bank transfer:

  • These require that you enter your bank routing and account numbers each time you select it, and Skrill will not retain or save the account information.
  • A one-time bank transfer requires verification on the part of both your bank and Skrill, meaning it can take up to five business days for funds to clear.
  • Less secure, as Skrill is unable to use your bank’s security measures.

Skrill Rapid Transfer:

  • Skrill Rapid Transfer allows you to save your bank details with Skrill with the utmost security, cutting down on the time to actually make your transfers.
  • Skrill Rapid Transfer is incredibly secure and makes fantastic use of your bank’s in-built security measures to ensure your money is safe along every step of the process.
  • Merchants can add Skrill Rapid Transfer to their site in order to gain access to fast, secure, and effective payment processing, while simultaneously allowing customers a seamless payment experience.
  • Skrill rapid Transfer works within a matter of minutes, rather than (business) days.
  • No registration is required for customers.
  • No PCI DSS or 3D secure fees.
  • Merchants and retailers can process payouts and refunds effortlessly.
  • Skrill Rapid Transfer is nearly effortless to integrate through the Skrill Digital Wallet API.

Why Can’t I Send Money on Skrill?

We’ve already covered this in our “Skrill Basics: Paying With Skrill” article. Give it a read for a thorough breakdown of the most common issues with sending money on Skrill.

Can I Transfer Money From Skrill to a Bank Account?

Thanks to Skrill Money Transfer, users in the United States and 18 other countries (shown above) can send money to a bank account overseas or locally without paying transfer fees.

How Much Can You Transfer on Skrill?

How much you can transfer on Skrill depends on two major factors – your account level and verification status, and the country in which you reside. As always, it’s a great idea to check out the Skrill Money Transfer Terms and Conditions in your country (select the country in the top right corner).

If you really don’t want to read through the dry-as-hell terms and conditions, I don’t blame you! Luckily for you, we already covered this in our “Skrill Basics: Account Limits” article.

The long and short of it, though, is that your account limits will vary based on some key factors:

Account Verification Status:

As a general rule of thumb, verified accounts have more lenient limits than unverified accounts. And depending on where you live, the limit on an unverified account can be as low as $135 (converted to your local currency, of course).

Skrill VIP Status:

  • The higher your Skrill VIP status, the higher your account limits. These are generally broken down into four categories/timeframes:
    • Per-transaction limits (the lowest transfer cap)
    • Daily limits (middling transfer cap)
    • Weekly limits (generally the same as monthly, or slightly lower)
    • Monthly limits (the highest transfer cap)

Your Home Country:

Different countries have different laws (I know, big shocker). As such, where you live will affect your account limits on Skrill. A full breakdown can be found in the aforementioned Account Limits article or in the Skrill Money Transfer Terms and Conditions of your home country.

Favouritism is provided to members of the EU/EEA (European Union/European Economic Area) with limits that are usually higher than in other areas. Again, this will vary based on where you live.

Can I Send Money From Skrill to Neteller?

Yes, you can send money from Skrill to Neteller, and vice versa – though there are some very important caveats to remember.

  1. When transferring Skrill to Neteller, or vice versa, both accounts must be in the same name (i.e. yours).
  2. There is a 3.49% fee for Neteller withdrawals through Skrill.

While they are both parts of the Paysafe Group, meaning that (theoretically) they work together regularly, you’ll need to pay a transfer fee.

This is because, in order to transfer from Skrill to Neteller or vice versa, you’ll need to select the “Withdrawals” tab of your Skrill Dashboard and request a Neteller withdrawal.

Can Skrill Transfer Money to PayPal?

No, Skrill and PayPal cannot transfer funds between each other. They use entirely separate payment gateways and verification methods, rendering the process impossible. It also doesn’t hurt that they’re direct competitors, either.

Don’t worry, though – there are plenty of other, equally secure services out there that do work with Skrill, often effortlessly.

Can I Send Money From Skrill to Payoneer?

Yes, you can send money from Skrill to Payoneer, and it’s surprisingly simple! Take a look at the process below for more information.

Skrill to Payoneer

To transfer funds from Skrill to Payoneer (or vice versa), log into your Skrill and* Payoneer accounts.

From there, you’ll need to add Skrill to Payoneer and your Payoneer card to Skrill as a Global Payment Option. After which, you can use the Payoneer card as you would any other payment option on Skrill and can transfer funds between platforms effortlessly.

* One time only, once each account is added to the other, it’s a seamless transfer process.

All in all, Skrill offers an incredibly broad range of transfers methods with which to send and receive money. While virtual wallets like Payoneer or Neteller are quite popular choices, they’re not the only ones! Things like Skrill Rapid Transfer and instant bank transfers are fast and effortless; and best of all, Skrill is dedicated to ensuring the entire process is safe as possible, ensuring your money stays where it belongs – in your wallet.
